Chapter 360 Preparing for a New Mission

Chapter 360 Preparing for a New Mission

"Let's go!" Su Ming's heart tightened and he quickly hid in the dark, holding his weapon tightly and holding his breath.

Footsteps approached, and the door slowly opened, revealing an enemy agent who seemed to be searching for something. Su Ming's heartbeat quickened, and he realized he had to remain calm. He stepped back slightly, trying to avoid the enemy's sight.

Just as he was about to escape through another door, something unexpected happened. The alarm outside the door suddenly rang out, and the piercing sound of the alarm threw the entire stronghold into chaos. The enemy began to move hurriedly, searching for the intruder.

"Damn it!" Su Ming cursed inwardly, feeling a surge of panic, but he knew he couldn't panic now. He had to find a way to escape this dangerous situation.

In the chaos, he took the opportunity to slip out of the room and quickly shuttled through the narrow corridor. He heard the continuous sound of footsteps and commands, and he knew that time was running out and he had to seize every opportunity.

Just as he was nearing the exit, he suddenly noticed several enemies closing in behind him. With a jolt of anxiety, he quickly turned and detonated the smoke bomb in his hand. A thick cloud of smoke instantly filled the air. Using this momentary cover, he rushed towards the exit, his mind focused solely on Ali.

Finally, Su Ming burst out of the building, the air outside instantly rushing into his lungs. Without stopping, he sprinted towards his hiding place. Chaotic shouting echoed behind him, and he knew he had to return to the safe house as soon as possible.

Along the way, Su Ming's mood fluctuated like a roller coaster. As he fled, he constantly recalled every detail of the mission, his heart filled with worry for Ali. Would she worry about him? Would she wait until he returned?

Back at the safe house, Ali was anxiously wandering around. When she saw Su Ming, a flash of surprise flashed in her eyes, then turned into worry: "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Su Ming breathed a sigh of relief and touched her head. "I said I would come back."

"You're such a fool for not telling me where you were going." There was a hint of reproach in Ali's eyes, but more of it was deep concern.

"I just don't want to make you worry." Su Ming's voice was low, but he was secretly thinking about his next choice in his heart.

As the mission progresses, Su Ming and Ali's relationship grows closer, but his inner anxiety also grows. Su Ming knows that the war situation can change at any time, and the gears of fate are turning relentlessly. He must be fully prepared to face the upcoming challenges.

A few days later, Su Ming received a new mission, this time targeting a key enemy commander. The success or failure of this mission could potentially alter the entire course of the war. Despite his inner unease, Su Ming knew he had to rise to the challenge.

"This is an extremely dangerous mission, you must proceed with caution." Ali warned him earnestly, with deep worry in her eyes.

"I will," Su Ming responded firmly, secretly vowing in his heart that he would return safely.

Before the mission began, Su Ming silently formulated a plan, replaying every moment with Ali. Her smile, her eyes—these became his driving force. Despite the unknown dangers ahead, he was willing to fight for his beliefs and never retreat.

This time, Su Ming will face a greater challenge. He must lurk deep within the enemy ranks, obtaining intelligence while trying to avoid exposing his identity. As night falls, he once again embarks on this dangerous road.

Over the next few days, Su Ming's mood grew increasingly heavy. His new mission required him to penetrate deep into the enemy's heartland, a task far more than simply gathering intelligence; it was a test both mentally and physically. In the dead of night, he sat alone in a corner of his cabin, reminiscing about his past life and feeling a strange sense of melancholy.

"Why am I doing all this?" he often asked himself. As night fell, Ali's image would always appear in his mind. Her smile, her eyes—these became his driving force. However, the closer he got to the enemy, the more his worry for her grew.

"If I can't come back, will she be sad?" Su Ming pondered silently, his heart surging like a tide. Although he tried to suppress these emotions in his heart, the ruthless reality always made him unable to ignore it.

One evening, Su Ming returned to the safe house just as Ali was preparing dinner for him. She was dressed simply, her hair slightly disheveled, and she was intently stirring the food in the wok. Seeing Su Ming enter, she immediately broke into a bright smile.

"You're back just in time. I made your favorite dish for you!" Ali's voice was as warm as the morning light.

"That's great. I'm really hungry today." Su Ming sat down with a smile, feeling warm in his heart.

At the table, Ali's cooking skills brought him a sense of happiness. They ate and chatted about their lives, trying to temporarily forget the chaos outside. Ali spoke of her childhood dreams, her voice soft and tinged with nostalgia: "When I was little, I wanted to be a dancer, longing to dance on the stage."

"Then why didn't you do it?" Su Ming asked curiously.

"Because I have to take on family responsibilities," Ali sighed slightly, "and now, each of us has a more important mission."

Su Ming felt a pang of bitterness in his heart. Although he knew Ali was right, he couldn't help but feel sorry for her dream. The two of them shared a simple dinner in this small room, but time seemed to have stopped, and the war outside seemed far away.

"When the war is over, we will pursue our dreams together." Su Ming mustered up his courage and thought to himself that no matter how difficult the road ahead was, he would go forward hand in hand with Ali.

Ali raised her head, a determined glint in her eyes. "I believe we can do it. As long as there is hope in our hearts, the future will come."

That night, Su Ming had a dream in which he and Ali were strolling in the sunshine, enjoying the simplicity and happiness of life. However, when he woke up, he realized the cruelty of reality and felt bitter again.

The next day, Su Ming began preparing for his new mission. He knew this infiltration would be a major test. He carefully studied the enemy's information and developed a detailed plan, but his concern for Ali remained lingering.

"The target of this mission is the enemy commander. He is operating outside, and we must sneak in before he leaves." Su Ming analyzed the map carefully, thinking in his mind how to get close to the target without being discovered.

"You have to be careful," Ali reminded, concern in her eyes, "If anything goes wrong, retreat immediately."

"I will," Su Ming nodded, silently promising in his heart that he would return safely no matter what.
