Old Liu reacted extremely quickly, slamming on the brakes without saying a word, shifting into reverse and flooring the gas pedal.

The crowd at the village entrance hadn't dispersed yet when they saw the truck return, and they immediately gathered around again.

"Today, we'll fight them to the death!" Xu Dahai roared. As one of their own, he felt he had to stand up now.
"Let's fight! Let's fight!" several young men shouted, their necks red. Every one of them hated Cao Bao to the core. With someone leading the charge, they wanted to give it their all and kill that bastard Cao Bao.

The bandits grew bolder, and just as they were about to get within fifty meters of the truck, "Bang!" A gunshot rang out, and the leader of the bandits fell down without a sound.
Then two more gunshots rang out. Two more fell, startling the remaining bandits who screamed and ran away.
