Chapter 209 The Unbreakable Fat
Chapter 209 The Unbreakable Fat
"I want to go to town with you," Wolf Overlord looked pitifully at Wen Luozhi, and after they got home, he kept howling behind her.
During the two days she was away from home, it ran around the orchard a couple of times and then came home, and its appetite wasn't great either.
“No way! You’ll definitely scare people if you go to town,” Wen Luozhi refused outright.
This guy is unruly; when I'm busy, I don't have time to keep an eye on him, and he's bound to cause trouble if I'm not careful.
Wolf Overlord refused to accept this and started rolling around on the ground.
Wen Luozhi ignored it, but Li Chunxing couldn't stand it anymore and said a few words on its behalf, "Little sister, why don't you take it with you next time?"
"It just stood at the door watching you as soon as your carriage left, looking so pitiful."
Wen Ziming still remembered the last time his wife fell on it and was lucky to escape unharmed, so he spoke up for it, saying, "Little sister, you should take it with you. It doesn't listen to us except for you..."
Upon hearing this, Wen Luozhi immediately glared at Lang Batian and said, "If you don't get up, I won't take you next time!"
Wolf Overlord immediately got up and squatted down next to her, pressing his leg tightly against hers.
Wen Luozhi squatted down and grabbed its face. "I'll test you for a day tomorrow. If you don't listen to my brother and sister-in-law, I won't take you with me!" After saying that, she flicked its wolf ears.
Wolf Batian blinked, and Mo Li pursed her lips, wanting to say something but too embarrassed to speak.
"Ah Li, I'll take you and Xiao Hu to town the day after tomorrow."
"But you have to keep an eye on this little baby for me."
Mo Li was surprised that Wen Luozhi would think of him, and he tightened his grip on Xiao Hu's hand.
"I will definitely protect Little Tiger."
The young boy smiled with a hint of shyness, which made Mo Zhengfu even more grateful to Wen Luozhi.
"That man looks like he's about to leave."
In the dead of night, Lang Batian lay down next to Wen Luozhi and said.
These past few days, the man seems to have suddenly become enlightened, and he's become so powerful that he no longer needs to chase away those little beasts.
Yesterday I even got lucky and caught a wounded big bug, which I guess I sold for a lot of money.
When it quietly went into the cave today, everything was already almost packed up.
Wen Luozhi shrugged. Let him go. Anyway, this guy didn't do anything heinous in the village. The two of them yawned and went to sleep.
Thinking of how pitifully Lang Batian begged him, Wen Luozhi still asked the system for a map of Python Mountain.
The winding road made her dizzy and sleepy, and she fell asleep in no time.
She was woken up early the next morning by a scream. Lang Batian got up, stretched, and quickly ran out and back in.
"Something's happened to the sow! Get up quickly!"
Upon hearing this, Wen Luozhi immediately jumped out of bed. His own father was watching him like the apple of his eye—wasn't that going to kill him?!
She ran out before she had even put her shoes on properly, and Yang Guilan was covered in pig's blood and looked terrified at the entrance of the pigsty.
Seeing her come out, she seemed to have found her pillar of support and pointed anxiously at the panting sow inside, saying, "Little sister, look at that sow! I saw half of a piglet's head sticking out this morning!"
"It can't give birth on its own!"
Wen Muchuan was also very anxious, his face turning red with worry.
"Father, go find Doctor Hu!"
After saying that, he was about to run out when Wen Luozhi quickly grabbed him. "Father, Doctor Hu is for treating people! He can't treat pigs!"
"What should we do then?!" Wen Muchuan thought about it and realized it was true; the sow's constant squealing was driving him crazy.
Wen Luozhi comforted him for a couple of minutes, then opened the door to check on the sow; she realized it had given birth prematurely.
Half of the piglet was still stuck there. She carefully pulled it out and actually managed to pull it out, but the piglet didn't react.
Upon seeing this, Wen Muchuan quickly took two fingers from her hand, inserted them into her mouth, and rummaged around inside. He then pulled out a small, thin membrane-like substance.
The little piglet grunted softly, and at that moment, Wen Luozhi pulled out the other piglets as well.
There were four piglets in total, except for the first one which was a bit bigger, the others were all very small.
The four piglets were lying next to the sow, eating voraciously. When Wen Luozhi came out, her legs could barely support her and her hands were trembling slightly.
"Daughter, hurry up and wash up and go rest!"
Wen Muchuan was incredibly excited. He thought all the pigs he had worked so hard to raise had died, but he never expected his daughter to have this skill.
Wen Luozhi raised her arm to wipe the sweat from her forehead and gave him a few instructions, not forgetting to tease him, "Dad, if Mom sees this at home, she'll definitely laugh at you again."
Wen Muchuan laughed heartily; there were countless such things, and he wasn't afraid anymore once he talked about them enough.
So he spent the whole morning guarding the pigpen entrance, afraid that something might happen to the premature piglet.
Wen Zizhong was engrossed in carving the carp leaping over the dragon gate in the courtyard, and Wen Luozhi called him twice but he didn't hear her.
"Second brother, we'll be treating your leg in two days. Just rest well for the next couple of days and don't do anything."
Unable to bear it any longer, Wen Luozhi reached out and took the tools from his hand, and only then did Wen Zizhong belatedly realize that someone had arrived.
"I can finish it by tomorrow, Second Brother knows what I'm doing."
He smiled, took the knife from Wen Luozhi's hand, and continued with his head down.
"Sister, don't worry about it. Your second brother does the same thing when you're not home."
Yang Guilan brought out a bowl of rice, which was piled high with vegetables.
That's how he usually is; he'll stop on his own when he feels he's done, and no amount of persuasion from others will change that.
Wen Luozhi didn't bother him anymore and carried Xiao Hu, who was sitting next to him, into the house.
Wolf Batian was still eating a low-fat meal, but Wen Luozhi almost cried when she saw that huge bowl of chicken.
"Little sister, this is already a reduced amount, it won't be full if there's too little..." Li Chunxing said somewhat guiltily.
Although this big white dog doesn't listen to them, it's very protective of its owner. Before, Huang Cuihua saw it and said that she was going to have another girl.
Suddenly, this big guy appeared out of nowhere, tackled her, and spit in her face. Huang Cuihua was so scared that she kept slapping herself and apologizing.
Wen Luozhi didn't expose her. Did she think that just because the rice bowl had gotten bigger, she wouldn't be able to tell?
Wolf Batian lay on the ground, wagging its tail happily. Wen Luozhi kicked its food bowl and said fiercely, "Stand up and eat!"
Whose dog eats and sleeps all the time? That's incredibly lazy!
Wolf Overlord quickly stood up and nuzzled her ingratiating manner, then opened his mouth wide and devoured everything in the food bowl in no time.
Because of the piglet incident in the morning, Wen Luozhi couldn't go to the school. After lunch, she took two rabbits and went there instead.
This time, no matter what she said, the village chief refused to accept it. Who would pay money and labor and still want meat in return?
Wen Muchuan took the rabbit, tied it up, and put it in the basket. "Then I shamelessly took it and then took it back."
The others nodded happily, "Of course we have to take it back! Otherwise, this girl will definitely bring the whole pig over!"
Everyone laughed, but Huang Cuihua pouted, "You want to take both rabbits back! How stingy!"
