Chapter 34 The Young Dragon Nurse
Chapter 34 The Young Dragon Nurse
Four red dragons swept across the boundless wilderness, heading north, their silhouettes resembling a fiery cloud stretching out in the wind, slowly spreading across the sky.
Thor trailed helplessly behind Chiriel, his face, covered in scales, revealing no emotion, but inwardly he was seething with rage and couldn't help but roar inwardly.
That damned old bastard, he really did sell himself out! As they flew, the surrounding environment became increasingly dry and desolate, and he could even smell the dust in the air—clearly, they were heading towards the desert.
Red dragons wouldn't like this environment; only blue dragons love to inhabit the desert. This guy is clearly leading them to the blue dragon's territory.
"Calm down! Calm down first! Since it has already happened, there's no point in being angry anymore."
On the bright side, a blue dragon worthy of a young red dragon's allegiance must have many followers in its territory, and perhaps even other five-colored dragons.
If they could provide me with spiritual essence like Sistana and Kalp did, perhaps it wouldn't be long before I could accumulate enough for advanced draws.
If we can obtain a suitable, powerful monster template, then...
……
After what could be described as a long flight, the long grass beneath Thor's feet was replaced by a desolate Gobi Desert. A reddish-brown Gobi Desert rose from the ground, upon which stood rows of dark and rugged fortresses.
With a mix of trepidation and excitement, he landed before the fortress on the rock-paved platform and followed Chiriel into the archway, which was exceptionally tall even for a true dragon.
The hall was dimly lit, with dappled beams of light streaming through the windows that barely illuminated the first half of the entrance.
But the dragon's innate dark vision meant that Thor's vision was not affected at all. When he looked up, a blue dragon that was over 90 feet long instantly came into view.
The air was filled with the smell of ozone, and the constantly accumulating static electricity would occasionally burst out, making a crackling sound.
Is this the blue dragon known as "Storm Fang"? It looks quite powerful.
Just as Thor had confirmed the other party's identity, a burst of laughter, like an electric shock, echoed through the air.
"Chiliel, these are your children? They all look like fine dragon cubs!"
His gaze swept over the three red dragons before finally settling on Thor.
This fledgling dragon was enormous, twice the size of the other two, and its wings were so disproportionately large that he couldn't help but pay close attention to it.
However, as a mature blue dragon, he had already witnessed too many extraordinary things in his long life, and this alone was not enough to make him take it to heart.
"Leave them to Leilia! She is the nurseryman of the dragon cubs and will surely take good care of your children."
Upon hearing this, Chiliel immediately narrowed her eyes in displeasure and growled in a low voice.
"You can't do this! This is my child, he should stay with me."
However, the blue dragon lying on the stone platform simply shook its head slightly.
"All true dragons who join the tribe are members of the tribe and must abide by the tribe's rules and traditions."
Go and fetch Leilia; tell her that new cubs have arrived.
An undeniable growl echoed through the hall, leaving Chiliel with no choice but to bow her head in resentment.
But that doesn’t mean she’s going to give up—these are the chicks that hatched from her own eggs, how could she just give them away to the Blue Dragon for nothing?
"I can hand them over to the community, but once they reach adolescence, they must dedicate half their time to serving me!"
"No! At most one-third..."
Thor, Sistana, and Calp squatted behind Chiriel, quietly watching their adoptive mother haggle and discuss what price to "sell" them for.
He felt no sadness at this; only rising anger and deep contempt.
A moment later, the sound of flapping wings came from outside the hall again, accompanied by the whistling wind and the vibration of heavy objects hitting the ground, and another blue dragon walked in.
It was a young blue dragon, a size smaller than Chiriel, about 40 feet long, its body covered with scales that gradient from sky blue to indigo, smooth as a mirror, like shining gems.
She strode gracefully through the massive archway, her flexible neck held high, her long tail swaying gently behind her, her pterosaur-like wings slightly open, and her amber eyes looking down at Thor and his two young dragons.
"Three red chicks, that's quite rare. Come with me."
A sharp, electric-like sound rang out, and without waiting for Thor and the others to respond, he walked straight out of the archway.
The contemptuous attitude enraged the three fledgling dragons, but the situation was beyond their control, and they could only obediently follow behind.
After all, the red dragon is just short-tempered, not intellectually deficient, and will adopt an appropriate posture when necessary.
After passing through the enormous archway, the blue dragon in front of us immediately spread its long, narrow wings, which extended all the way to the wing membrane at its tail, maximizing its ability to catch updrafts and effortlessly soaring through the sky.
Blue dragons are probably the fastest of all five chromatic dragons, after all, they are naturally close to the wind and lightning elements, and their body structure is more suitable for flight.
The blue dragon named Leilia showed no intention of caring for the three hatchlings and quickly disappeared into the distance on the blowing hot wind, leaving only a trail of flashing lightning.
At this moment, Thor and his three young dragons had already left Blackrock Fortress, and the blue dragon in front had also flown a distance, which seemed to be an excellent opportunity to escape.
However, reason prevented them from acting rashly, so they could only follow the direction in which the blue dragon disappeared, desperately flapping their wings.
They did not venture deep into the desert and Gobi, but instead proceeded along the boundary between the grassland and the desert. About half an hour later, a winding river appeared ahead.
The abundant water nourished the arid land, providing the necessary conditions for the growth of vegetation, and thus an oasis was formed along the river in this barren land.
On the northern side of the river, there is a large, protruding Gobi desert, which appears to be rich in red soil, giving it a rusty color.
The young blue dragon landed at the top of the Gobi Desert. It seemed to have been there for quite some time. Upon seeing Thor and his group arrive, it immediately roared to the sky.
"All you little ones, come and gather here. You have new companions."
A sharp, electric-like sound traveled far through the air.
Soon after, the sound of flapping wings could be heard from the distant woods, bushes, and mudflats.
Thor, with Sistana and Kalp, landed on the Gobi Desert behind Leilia. Looking around, he saw figures of various colors, including blue, green, black, and white, rapidly approaching.
Those were young dragons, probably numbering over twenty. More than a third of them were blue dragons, followed closely by white dragons, while green and black dragons were fewer in number, probably less than a third combined.
They landed on the open flat ground at the top of the Gobi Desert, surrounding the three newly arrived fledglings.
"A red dragon? It's actually a red dragon?"
"These arrogant brutes!"
"Crude vandals!"
A noisy conversation broke out, filled with ill intent.
