Chapter 3 Thank you for informing me.
Chapter 3 Thank you for informing me.
Upon hearing the bald man's command, the space pirates excitedly pounced on him.
Before they could take more than a few steps, the beautiful, scarlet figure transformed into a blood-red streak and vanished from their sight in an instant.
"Where did they go?"
"I don't know, let's be careful, that woman is a bit strange—"
The warning had barely left his lips when the rest of the words got stuck in the pirate's throat.
Because he felt the wind—
A cold wind, carrying the smell of blood and the sweet scent of perfume, blew past him.
Like a weightless piece of red silk, it floated down behind him.
The space pirate reacted quickly, immediately turning his gun around.
Unfortunately, he wasn't fast enough.
A pale, slender hand quietly emerged from behind his shoulder, its bright red, sharp nails gently pressing against his temple. Another hand lightly brushed against his face, resting on his chin, and a crisp "snap" was heard.
The burly man's massive body crashed to the ground, his head tilting to one side at an unnatural angle.
The crisp, clean sound of bones cracking plunged the control room into a deathly silence.
The other space pirates looked at the burly man who was already lifeless on the ground, and then at the soft, boneless hands of the woman in crimson robes. Their expressions froze in astonishment.
"This...this..." How is this possible?! That woman looks like she could be blown away by a gust of wind, where did she get such terrifying strength?!
"Fire! Keep firing! Don't let her get close!"
The space pirates finally came to their senses a little, roaring and starting to fire wildly from the cockpit.
"Idiot! Look where you're aiming! You're going to smash the main control screen!"
"You're one to talk! You yourself typed something on the console!"
"You brainless idiot! Is this the time to argue?! Hurry up and kill her!"
The bald man's words halted the other space pirates' pointless arguments, and beams of light intertwined and fired more densely at the crimson-clad figure.
Unfortunately, the crimson figure vanished once again, and the beam of light could only futilely pass through the afterimage left behind by the crimson figure.
All that remained were the charred holes burned into the walls, the floor, and the control panel and main window screen.
Some of the pulse beams even hit their own people.
The space pirates had to huddle together, back to back.
The panic of failing to hit the target spread like a plague through the cockpit, the hum of the overheated energy weapon mingling with the heavy breathing of the space pirates.
"Damn it, how did that woman move so fast!"
"Where did she go?!"
As they were talking, the space pirates who were huddled together suddenly felt everything go black.
"What is that?" they cursed and panted, roughly trying to brush it away with their hands. But the moment their hands touched the black patch, they realized something was wrong.
This...this...this...this—
His mother is hair!
Wait, where did this long hair come from?!
As if they had thought of something, the space pirates slowly and stiffly raised their heads.
Then, they saw the last thing they would ever see in their lives—
A blood-red figure hanging upside down from the ceiling.
With each cracking sound of bones breaking, lifeless figures collapsed one after another.
Crimson-clad figure floated back to the ground, retrieving the long black hair that had severed the star pirate's neck. Then, she turned to look at the bald man standing in the corner, his face grim.
"Now……"
"You're the only one left..."
"It's a misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding!"
As the man in crimson took his first step toward him, the bald man quickly raised his hands and shouted, "We...we're just doing this for money!"
After witnessing his subordinate being dispatched by the woman in a second, the bald man lost all will to resist. Knowing he was no match for her, and in order to save his own life, he unethically revealed his employer.
"Your uncle and aunt made us do this!"
The woman in crimson robes paused in her steps.
Seeing that there was a chance, the bald man revealed everything he knew: "They're doing this because they don't want you to go back and inherit the Jiang family! If you die, the Jiang family will have to choose a new heir, and they'll have a chance to seize the inheritance!"
"They also asked us to dump your body on a junk planet to temporarily conceal your death and make people think you were just missing. They will only reveal your death once they have everything in place."
"The videos they made us film are for exposure purposes!"
"I'm telling the truth! I secretly recorded their conversation while we were negotiating the price! I can let you listen to it first to confirm!"
"If you promise to let me go and allow me to leave after the spaceship lands, I'll give you the recording! This recording can be used as evidence—"
Before he could finish speaking, he heard a "pfft" sound beside his ear.
The bald space pirate slowly lowered his head.
He witnessed an utterly unbelievable scene—
A piece of red fabric pierced through his chest.
He didn't even have time to think about why the soft fabric could pierce his chest like a sharp blade, just as he didn't understand why his men had their necks broken by this woman's long hair. The excruciating pain surged over him like a tidal wave.
The bald space pirate wanted to ask, "Why?" Why didn't they need his evidence? But as soon as he opened his mouth, the smell of blood rushed up, mixed with the cold air entering his chest, causing him to cough violently.
Blood dripped slowly down the red fabric, spreading into a small, bright red dot on the ground; the weapon he had been clutching in his hand to save his life also rolled to the ground.
"Thank you..."
The red wedding gown that had pierced the pirate's chest returned to Jiang Yi's body. Jiang Yi raised her hand and gently tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Your... confidence..."
The massive body, now without support, suddenly collapsed, slamming heavily onto the control panel beside it.
"Bang!"
With a muffled thud, a large panel on the main control console shattered. Sparks crackled, and red lights instantly illuminated the control room. The blinding red lights, accompanied by the blaring alarm, began to flash, casting an ominous glow over the entire cabin.
The woman in crimson robes looked in the direction of the sound.
On the largest screen in the center, cold, red characters were relentlessly flashing:
Landing module malfunction, please repair as soon as possible!
Landing module malfunction, please repair as soon as possible!
……
Even next to these large red characters, a countdown to "Emergency Landing" had been hung up at some point.
And just as Jiang Yi looked over, the countdown number turned into a bright red "0".
Crimson Robe: "...?"
……
J2M511 satellite.
A remote planet known as a "garbage planet".
"Tsk, how long are we going to stay in this godforsaken place?"
In the tavern, Luo Feng gulped down a mouthful of wine, slamming the glass down on the table with a thud, his messy red hair...
"Why are other teams allowed to follow their leader to raid pirate strongholds, while we're stuck patrolling junk planets?"
You asked, "On what grounds?"
The long-haired man sitting next to him expressionlessly dodged the spilled wine from his glass, his tone flat and even: "You, the deputy commander of the Second Legion, were playing games with a group of people outside the meeting room while the boss was having a meeting, oh, and you even lost."
"The boss and the commander of the Second Legion have never gotten along. You made the boss lose face in public and were ridiculed by the commander of the Second Legion. The fact that he didn't punish you by sending you to mine on a desolate planet is already a great favor to you as the deputy commander."
"That bastard tricked me!" Luo Feng shouted. "That bastard deliberately said the game was difficult, of course I had to go up and mock him!"
"Who knew that grandson was just faking it! He had secretly practiced his skills all along!"
"Damn it! When I run into that bastard from the Second Legion again, I'm going to give him a good beating!" Luo Feng slammed his hand on the table and started pouring himself a drink.
"I wonder when the boss will finally agree to let me go back..." The wine glass was quickly emptied, and Luo Feng slumped onto the table, his once-red hair now drooping. "I'm so bored I'm practically growing mold... Ji Shu, what have you been looking at since earlier? Did the boss send you a message?!"
"No." The long-haired man named Ji Shu remained expressionless. "I'm reading the news. A passenger ship in this nearby star system appears to have been hijacked by space pirates."
"What?!" Luo Feng jumped up from the table with a start. "Then shouldn't we hurry over and help?!" Space pirates are great! He couldn't wait to stretch his muscles; after all, he'd been doing boring patrol work every day for the past few days—
"Too late." Ji Shu said calmly, "It's said that the space pirates fled after stealing the money."
"It's alright if they escape! What if they run towards us?!"
Ji Shu scoffed softly, "Don't dream about it. The space pirates are probably already on their way back to their base. How could they possibly be heading this way—"
"boom!"
Before he could finish speaking, a loud bang came from not far away.
