Chapter 107 Strange Woman
Chapter 107 Strange Woman
On a mountaintop shrouded in mist, a strange woman embraces a man, with countless bones growing beneath her feet.
One head after another attacked He Sui'an, who fought back with his folding fan, while Xiang He approached from the side, a small copper coin sword tied with a red rope, which he threw like a dart.
The woman stopped singing, stared blankly at He with a blank face, and flicked her sleeve to deflect the small copper coin sword.
Xiang He pulled it back and threw it back, still calling upon Xing Ji's soul.
Seeing the small copper coin sword approaching, the woman had no choice but to release Xing Ji to deal with Xiang He. She used her hands to form claws and swung over to make a move. Xing Ji was freed, but his body went limp and he fell to the ground, not conscious.
He Sui'an seized the opportunity, swatting away several people with his folding fan, and rushed over to squat down and check on Xing Ji's condition. Xing Ji had his eyes closed and was barely breathing, his face visibly ashen.
Xiang He glanced at the scene briefly, then shouted loudly, "Xing Ji!"
The sound was so loud that it could be heard from the mountaintop.
The woman suddenly straightened her chest and twisted her body, her ten fingers making a cracking sound, and a wisp of green smoke billowed out from in front of her.
Xiang He immediately stepped forward with her umbrella, forcefully swatting the wisp of smoke towards He Suian's direction, "Use your folding fan to knock Xing Ji's throat!"
Upon hearing this, He Sui'an immediately did as instructed, tilting Xing Ji's head back and striking him in the throat, when suddenly something flew from behind him.
His pupils contracted, and a sharp glint shot from his eyes. He tightened his grip on the folding fan, and a cold light flashed from within, striking the object directly in the front and splitting it in two.
She withdrew her gaze and tapped Xing Ji's throat three times. After that, Xing Ji opened his mouth, and the green smoke that had flown from the woman's body entered his mouth. Xing Ji's closed eyes opened, and his empty eyes were rekindled.
Taking a deep breath, Xing Ji instantly woke up and sat up, his hands hanging limply at his sides. Just as he saw his master, something flew from behind him. Xing Ji's eyes immediately turned murderous, and he clenched his right fist and punched straight at him.
With a single punch, Xing Ji flew ten feet away, then knelt on one knee, supporting himself on the ground. "Young Master... I have failed in my duty."
"Get up, let's deal with these strange things first."
"Yes."
While they were busy dealing with their heads, Xiang He wasn't idle either. With a dart in her right hand and a large umbrella in her left, the woman handled the situation with ease.
But seeing that Xing Ji was awake, a rare look of anger appeared on her face. "How dare you...!"
Before Xiang He could react, the woman was surrounded by a massive amount of Yin energy, which twisted into stiff strips and shot towards Xiang He like sharp blades.
Each strike, colliding with the large umbrella, was extremely powerful.
Xiang He dodged and retaliated, but the sheer number of attacks made it impossible for her to avoid them all. Streaks of yin energy tore through her clothes, and she was even pierced through the calf by a single blow.
Xiang He crouched down in pain, and He Suian immediately rushed to her, using his folding fan to resist the yin energy.
"Are you okay?"
"Something came up..." Xiang He patted his pierced calf, and only stood up after the yin energy on his face dissipated. "Get out of the way, I'm about to unleash my full power!"
While defending himself, He Suian walked to her side and reached out to support her waist to steady her.
Seeing Xiang He's disheveled appearance, the woman let out a silvery laugh, "Little Taoist priest, spare their lives, and perhaps I will let you go."
Xiang He scoffed, handed the large umbrella to He Suian, and quickly formed hand seals in front of her. "So eager for men? Your strong yang energy can't heal your festering face."
The woman was taken aback. "You! What do you know!"
As if struck in a painful spot, the woman opened her arms to embrace the yin energy. Suddenly, the heads lost their balance and fell to the ground, while the yin energy around her surged so much that it obscured the moon in the sky, turning the sky gloomy.
Xiang He quickened his pace, closed his eyes, and chanted, "The Great Emperor of the Gods, all demons submit; men bow their heads before him, ghosts prostrate themselves before him..."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a thunderclap resounded. Xiang He bit his finger and drew a talisman on his forehead, chanting, "May it descend upon me, subdue the demons and vanquish them!"
Another clap of thunder sounded, and Xiang He reached out her hand. He Sui'an placed the large umbrella in her hand and took two steps back.
His eyes were fixed on Xiang He, watching her solemn face, the golden light emanating from the talisman on her forehead when she opened her eyes, her powerful and imposing figure, and her piercing gaze.
The large umbrella in his hand was wielded like a sharp blade, stirring up a rustling mountain breeze.
With each step she took, even the hem of her skirt exuded an aura of authority: "This evil creature is barbaric and deserves divine punishment!"
With a wave of her hand, an invisible force seemed to exert pressure, inspiring fear.
The woman's ferocious face showed a hint of panic, but after a moment she bared her teeth again, "Playing tricks, if you've got the guts, then take me down!"
In the blink of an eye, Xiang He raised his head and swept up the large umbrella. Facing the yin energy that the woman was shooting at, he simply waved his hand a few times, and all the yin energy was cut off and stopped from growing.
In the blink of an eye, Xiang He was already in front of the woman, the large umbrella in his hand sharper than swords and knives.
The large umbrella pierced through the woman's body without harming her. Accompanied by a scream, a phantom taller than a person appeared. The woman closed her eyes and fell to the ground, while only the phantom howled in agony.
Looking down again, they finally saw the phantom's face clearly. Just as Xiang He had said, the face was almost entirely ulcerated, with rotting flesh hanging on it, which was extremely terrifying.
The body that Xiang He had slashed open dissipated its yin energy, and she opened her mouth wide at Xiang He, as if she wanted to devour and tear her apart to vent her hatred.
Standing steadily, Xiang He frowned slightly, the talisman on her forehead fading considerably. She immediately pricked her fingertip again and wrote another talisman on her left palm, "You have to hold on..."
The body's foundation isn't fully healed yet, so this kind of spiritual intervention is clearly not going to be able to sustain it, but for now, this is the only option.
He clapped his hands together and shouted, "Break the imminent Five Thunderbolts!"
With a final shout, a bolt of lightning pierced the sky and struck the woman's head. A smell of burning smoke wafted out. He Sui'an watched as the woman's body vanished, leaving only a wisp of white light floating in the air.
The surrounding cold wind dissipated, and even the smog completely vanished, revealing the mountaintop clearly and the night sky bright.
"He girl!"
Completely losing all strength, Xiang He softly collapsed into He Suian's arms, her eyes glazed and unable to open. With her last breath, she said to the white light, "If you dare to run, I'll make your soul vanish..."
Her breathing weakened, and Xiang He fell into a deep sleep. He Sui'an quickly checked her breathing and was relieved to find out that she had just fallen asleep.
His worry deepened. He took the large umbrella, picked up Xiang He, and looked towards Xing Ji. He nodded slightly, "She still has a breath; she's a person."
“Take him away,” Youyou glanced at the white light, “follow him.”
Xing Ji immediately picked up the woman and followed He Suian down the mountain. The white light lost consciousness and only understood that it was to follow, so it drifted behind.
The two hadn't walked far when they heard a commotion of footsteps. Looking closely, they saw the shopkeeper leading the townspeople up. When he saw that the two of them were carrying people, he quickened his pace in a panic.
"Oh dear! I told you not to come up here, what happened? Are you hurt?"
He Suian turned away to avoid touching her, saying, "She's just unconscious. Send someone to report to the authorities; there are countless corpses on the list."
"W-what?!"
These words made everyone afraid to move, their eyes filled with terror, and they dared not even look at them.
No wonder everyone looked like that. He Suian said as gently as possible, "Let the brave ones go up."
The village head, walking behind, had a dark expression on his face. "A-Qiang, go report this to the authorities."
"oh oh!"
Seeing one person running down the mountain, He Sui'an also turned to walk down the mountain, but was stopped by the village head, who said, "We don't know what happened on the mountain. Now only the two of you are awake. You two have to tell the government about this yourself."
“Young man, you have the same idea. You can come to the inn to find us.”
