Chapter 300 Mystery in the Deep Sky

Lily and Long Yuchen stood in front of the source of time, and the scene before them left them speechless. Countless twinkling stars were inlaid in the endless darkness like gems, and each star seemed to be whispering its own story of time.

"Is this the origin of time?" Lily couldn't help but exclaim, with curiosity and awe flashing in her eyes.

"Are you ready?" Long Yuchen asked.

"Of course." Lily tightened her grip on the weapon, a determined look in her eyes.

They stepped into the light together, and their bodies were instantly pulled into a spinning vortex, as if they had traveled through countless worlds. Finally, at a certain moment, they were violently thrown out and fell heavily to the ground.

"Ah! Why is this place so hard?" Lily couldn't help but complain, covering her sore butt.

Long Yuchen stood up and looked around: "It seems that we have reached a new time node."

Before my eyes was a forest full of exotic plants. The trees were tall and dense, and the leaves emitted a light blue fluorescence. The whole forest looked weird and mysterious.

"This place gives me a bad feeling." Lily frowned.

Long Yuchen nodded in agreement: "Yes, I feel like there is some kind of danger hidden here."

They walked forward cautiously. The forest was strangely quiet, with only the sound of their footsteps echoing. Suddenly, a low roar came from the front, as if some huge creature was approaching.

"Could it be another guardian?" Lily asked nervously.

"Let's be careful." Long Yuchen looked vigilantly in the direction where the sound came from.

Soon, a huge creature slowly walked out from the depths of the forest. It was a huge mechanical beast, made of metal, flashing with cold light. Its eyes burned like rubies, and its roar was deafening.

"It seems that the enemy this time is a tough one." Lily said with a wry smile.

"We have no choice but to fight." Long Yuchen clenched his weapon and prepared to fight.

The mechanical beast roared and rushed towards them at an astonishing speed. Lily and Long Yuchen quickly separated, dodging the mechanical beast's attacks, and then attacked it from different angles.

However, the mechanical beast had a very strong defense, and their attacks could hardly cause any damage to it. The mechanical beast swung its claws, and Lily was almost hit. Fortunately, Long Yuchen blocked the attack in time.

"We can't go on like this!" Lily gasped, "We have to find its weakness."

Long Yuchen nodded: "It looks like its core component should be in the chest."

Lily observed carefully and found a faint light spot on the chest of the mechanical beast. That should be its core. She and Long Yuchen looked at each other and decided to focus on attacking that part.

The mechanical beast seemed to have sensed their intentions and began to attack them frantically, its roar shaking the entire forest. Lily and Long Yuchen tried their best to dodge the attacks while looking for opportunities to attack the core of the mechanical beast.

Just as the mechanical beast's attack became more and more fierce, Lily suddenly had a flash of inspiration: "Yuchen, can you use that time-space jump trick?"

Long Yuchen was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized: "Good idea, I'll try it."

He closed his eyes and concentrated, and the time around him seemed to stop instantly. Long Yuchen's figure began to blur gradually, as if it had merged with time.

Just as the mechanical beast was about to attack again, Long Yuchen suddenly appeared behind it and attacked its core. The mechanical beast let out a shrill scream, its body began to tremble violently, and finally fell to the ground with a bang, turning into a ruin.

"Who's talking?" Lily asked warily.

The voice did not answer, but continued: "Time is an endless river, its starting point and end point are connected. If you want to solve the mystery of time, you must pass this final test."

As soon as the voice fell, the darkness around them was suddenly torn apart, and Lily and Long Yuchen were pulled into a huge vortex. They felt their bodies being pulled by an invisible force, as if they were about to be torn apart.

When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves standing in front of an ancient altar. A huge time-space crystal was suspended above the altar, and some mysterious power seemed to be sealed in the crystal.

"Is this the origin of time?" Lily asked softly.

"Maybe." Long Yuchen replied with a serious expression, "But we have to be very careful, there may be unforeseen dangers hidden in it."

Lily nodded, and they approached the crystal cautiously. Suddenly, a strong energy wave erupted from the crystal, knocking them back several steps.

"It seems we can't touch it directly." Long Yuchen said calmly.

"So what should we do?" Lily asked.

"Who are you?" Lily asked, full of doubts.

"I used to be the Lord of Time, but now I have passed this heavy responsibility to the world. If you can pass the final test, you may become the new master of time." The voice was filled with irresistible power.

"The final trial?" Long Yuchen frowned slightly.

"Yes, this trial will test your wisdom, courage and faith. Only by passing the trial can you gain the power to control time." The voice said, and then disappeared in the halo.

"It looks like we have no choice." Lily sighed.

"Let's go and keep moving forward." Long Yuchen said, taking Lily into the trial road.
