Reborn in Hong Kong Island, I can see loyalty

Chapter 585 So Many Weapons!

Chapter 585 So Many Weapons!

"There's movement again!" The two sentries exchanged a glance and immediately chased after the new sound.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ye Haoxuan got up, crouched down, and quickly crossed the empty wasteland, circling around to the northwest corner of the factory.

The sentry in the northwest corner was more vigilant than the one in the southeast corner; he was pacing back and forth, holding a wooden stick in his hand.

Ye Haoxuan didn't force the issue. Instead, he took out a black cloth from his pocket, covered his head with it, and whispered:

"Hey! Your captain asked me to relieve you on shift!"

The sentry paused for a moment, clearly not having received any notification of a shift change.

He frowned, about to ask a question, when Ye Haoxuan strode forward, made a fist with his right hand, and slammed it hard into his temple.

The sentry's vision went black, and he fell straight down.

Ye Haoxuan dragged the man into the shadows, tore off a piece of his night clothes, covered the sentry's face, and then spoke into the walkie-talkie:

"Done. The two at the entrance are still circling around. Hurry up and sneak in."

Masahito Tachibana had already circled around to the back door of the factory.

The back door was a rusty iron door, slightly ajar, with a crack in it.

He gently pushed open the door a crack, and a pungent smell of engine oil mixed with the smell of rust rushed out.

The factory was darker inside than outside, with only a few dim yellow light bulbs on, the light so weak that you could barely see the path under your feet.

Ye Haoxuan followed behind Tachibana Masahito, the two walking one after the other, close to the wall as they went inside.

The factory was huge, filled with abandoned machines covered in a thick layer of dust.

From the shadows of the machine, a few muffled snores could be heard from time to time; the watchman must be sleeping.

"The west warehouse," Ye Haoxuan whispered into Tachibana Masahito's ear.

As A-MOON mentioned, there were lights on in the west warehouse, which was most likely where goods were stored.

The two crouched low, avoiding the debris on the ground, and made their way towards the west warehouse.

As they approached the warehouse entrance, they heard voices coming from nearby.

"Damn it, when is the boss coming? I'm about to suffocate sitting here with all this junk!" a gruff voice complained.

"Stop talking nonsense! Brother Le said this shipment is for Mr. Luke, if we lose it we're all dead!" another voice shouted. "Once this shipment is sold, we'll get a huge share of the money, then we can go wherever we want!"

"Mr. Luke? That foreigner is no good; I've heard he's ruthless..."

The voices grew closer, and two warehouse guards were walking towards the door.

Ye Haoxuan and Tachibana Masahito immediately slipped into the shadow of the machine next to them.

The footsteps grew closer, and the lights swayed in their direction.

The two guards of the warehouse each carried a flashlight, shining it as they walked.

One of them was carrying a bottle of liquor and humming an off-key tune.

"Damn it, there isn't even a woman in this godforsaken place. It's so boring."

"Just bear with it. Once the goods are sold, I'll take you to Causeway Bay to have some fun..."

The two voices gradually faded into the distance as they walked towards the other end of the factory.

Ye Haoxuan breathed a sigh of relief and winked at Tachibana Masahito.

The two immediately emerged from the shadows and rushed to the warehouse entrance.

The warehouse door was ajar. Ye Haoxuan gently pushed it open, and a strong smell of gunpowder wafted out.

The warehouse was filled with wooden crates, stacked neatly. Ye Haoxuan picked up a powerful flashlight, and a thin beam of light shone on the crates, revealing several crooked foreign characters printed on them—the markings of Luke's arms.

It really was weapons.

Ye Haoxuan's heart sank.

This batch of weapons is quite large; if it were to flow into Hong Kong Island, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Tachibana Masahito walked to a wooden box, pried open a crack with his short knife, and revealed a dark gun barrel inside.

“They’re rifles,” Tachibana Masahito whispered. “And quite a few grenades.”

Ye Haoxuan nodded, took out a miniature camera, and took a few photos of the wooden box and the labels on it.

These are all pieces of evidence; we'll need them to deal with Ah Le and Lu Ke later.

Just then, footsteps came from the second floor of the factory.

"Who's at the warehouse door?" a shrill voice shouted. "Is it the shift change?"

Ye Haoxuan and Tachibana Masahito exchanged a glance and immediately slipped behind the wooden box.

The footsteps grew closer, and a tall, thin man appeared at the warehouse door, holding a pistol and flashlight beams flailing wildly inside.

"Damn it, where is he?" the tall, thin man cursed, his flashlight beam sweeping across the wooden crate where Ye Haoxuan was hiding.

Ye Haoxuan held his breath, his palms slightly sweaty.

Just as the tall, thin man's flashlight was about to sweep across him, Tachibana Masahito suddenly sprang out of the shadows, covering the tall, thin man's mouth with his left hand and pressing a short knife against his throat with his right.

"Don't make a sound." Tachibana Masahito's voice was as cold as ice.

The tall, thin man trembled with fear, and the pistol in his hand clattered to the ground.

Ye Haoxuan immediately stepped forward, picked up the pistol, pointed it at the tall, thin man's temple, and whispered:

"Where is Ah Le? When will this batch of goods be sold?"

The tall, thin man stared wide-eyed, making muffled noises, unable to speak.

Tachibana Masahito released his hand from his mouth, the short sword still pressed against his throat: "Speak."

"Ah... Brother Lok's hideout in Tsim Sha Tsui..." The tall, thin man's voice trembled uncontrollably, "This batch of goods... the transaction will take place at the pier tomorrow night at ten o'clock..."

"Which part of the dock?" Ye Haoxuan pressed.

"Berth No. 3 at the West Wharf..."

Ye Haoxuan and Tachibana Masahito exchanged a glance, both seeing the sharpness in each other's eyes.

Tomorrow night at 10 PM, at Berth 3 of the West Wharf.

The time and place of Ah Le and Lu Ke's transaction have finally been figured out.

"Does anyone else know the location of this transaction?" Ye Haoxuan asked again.

"Only... only a few of us core members know..." The tall, thin man cried, "Please, let me go! I don't know anything, it was all Young Master Le who made me do it..."

Ye Haoxuan sneered and punched him on the back of the neck.

The tall, thin man immediately fainted.

"Withdraw." Ye Haoxuan said to Tachibana Masahito.

The two didn't linger, quickly left the warehouse, and headed towards the back door of the factory.

As soon as I reached the back door, I heard a commotion coming from the front of the factory.

"Oh no! The replacements are here!" Ye Haoxuan whispered.

Tachibana Masahito's eyes sharpened, and he pushed open the back door, rushing out first.

The two figures quickly disappeared into the night.

The noise inside the factory grew louder and louder. Someone was shouting, "Someone has broken in!" and someone else was shouting, "Chase them!"

But the night was dark, and there wasn't a soul in sight on the desolate land.

Ye Haoxuan and Tachibana Masahito ran several hundred meters in one breath before stopping and leaning against an old locust tree to catch their breath.

"A pretty good harvest." Tachibana Masahito wiped the sweat from his face, his tone filled with excitement.

"Hmm." Ye Haoxuan took out a miniature camera, glanced at the photos inside, and a cold smile appeared on his lips. "Ah Le, let's see where you can run this time."

He said into the walkie-talkie, "Moon, back to base. Tomorrow night at 10 PM, West Wharf, Berth 3, Ah Le and Luke will be trading arms. Tell the brothers to get ready to close the net."

"Understood." A MOON's voice came through, carrying a hint of excitement.

Ye Haoxuan looked up at the night sky. The stars were still sparse, and the night breeze was slightly cool.

He knew that tomorrow night would be a tough battle.

But he also knew that if he could intercept this batch of weapons and deal with Ah Lok and Luk, the underground order in Hong Kong would be further stabilized.

The construction of seaside villas will also reduce the threat.
