Chapter 824 Rainy Night
Chapter 824 Rainy Night
Since they had just escaped from Tie Niu and his group's pursuit, Lin Hao and a few others walked forward for more than ten minutes. Only after they left the forest did they slow down their pace.
He counted the supplies and found out that they were in a state of being discovered by the villagers when they crossed the river just now, so they didn't bring their backpacks.
Only the last two photographers were in a slightly safer situation and brought their bags with them.
Photographers usually carry cameras weighing dozens of kilograms, and the things assigned to them are slightly heavier survival items in the wild.
As for food, there was none, and there were only four bottles of mineral water.
Lin Hao was thinking about the road leading to the town. It would take about two days to walk there. Under extreme circumstances, the existing supplies would be enough.
Just as he was thinking, "Boom!" A loud thunder suddenly exploded in the sky, and heavy rain poured down as if to destroy the world.
"Let's find a place to shelter from the rain and rest first?" Lin Yun squeezed Lin Hao's hand.
Lin Hao wiped the rain off his face, turned around and said to the others, "I'll continue walking towards the town. You guys look around to see where you can take shelter from the rain!"
The group walked for more than an hour in the heavy rain and finally found a shallow cave in a forest.
There is a bonfire made of stones in the cave, and there is also carbon ash left over from previous bonfires.
There was a simple bed made of straw next to the campfire, and some dry firewood was piled on the side.
Lin Hao looked around the cave and found a small bag of rice in the corner.
I just don’t know if this cave is a gift left by a fisherman, or if it is like a house in an uninhabited area where passers-by can have a short rest.
Lin Hao took out a lighter from his bag, took some straw and firewood to light a bonfire, and said to everyone, "Let's take care of ourselves first."
As he spoke, he took out the pot from his bag and placed it at the entrance of the cave to collect rainwater. They only had four bottles of mineral water, so they had to be a little more frugal.
"Xiao Hao." Lin Yun waved at Lin Hao, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.
Lin Hao stepped forward and looked at Lin Yun in confusion, "What's wrong? Second sister?"
Lin Yun leaned close to Lin Hao's ear and whispered, "Hey, block it for me. I want to take off my clothes and wring them dry."
"Ah? Oh!" He turned around quickly, sat side by side with Cheng Cheng, and stood in front of Lin Yun.
There was a rustling sound behind him, and Lin Hao subconsciously tilted his head slightly, only to be met with a vicious look from Cheng Cheng.
Lin Hao turned his head suddenly and looked at Shouju and his group who were sitting opposite him and also roasting themselves by the fire.
Shouju and the others all lowered their heads, staring intently at the bright bonfire, without any sign of peeking.
"Xiao Hao, help me wring out my clothes." Lin Yun handed the clothes she had just taken off to Lin Hao.
Lin Hao swallowed his saliva. If this dress was in his hand, then it meant that it was his second sister now?
He quickly turned sideways, wrung out the clothes vigorously, and handed them to Lin Yun.
"And this!" Lin Yun handed the pants she took off to Lin Hao.
When Lin Hao took Lin Yun's pants and was about to wring them, he heard another sound of wringing water coming from behind?
Qiaodou sack? The clothes are wrung out, and the pants are in his hand? What is the second sister wrung?
Could it be that he didn't wring his clothes dry enough? That must be the case!
His cheeks flushed red, and he quickly and attentively fastened his pants and handed them behind him.
Lin Yun changed into her still slightly damp clothes, and leaned against Lin Hao with a slightly red cheek.
Cheng Cheng bit his lips lightly, glared at the group of people in front of him fiercely, and warned them, "You are not allowed to peek!"
"Shouju, why don't you just turn around and start a new fire?" Lin Hao suggested, "Otherwise we won't be able to spread out all the clothes."
Shouju glanced at Lin Hao, silently moved some firewood, and started a bonfire again.
Lin Yun raised her head, looked at Lin Hao with a smile on her face, showed her small white teeth and said, "Xiao Hao, have you forgotten something?"
Lin Hao gently pinched Lin Yun's nose and said, "Impossible! I have a good memory! You can't possibly be on guard against gentlemen, right?"
Cheng Cheng snorted, "Sister Lin Yun, I'm reporting it with my real name. Just now, Lin Hao wanted to turn around and peek!"
Lin Yun raised her neck, her cheeks flushed, she reached out and flicked Lin Hao's head twice, whispering, "There are so many people!"
Lin Hao's eyes flickered, he smiled awkwardly, and said cunningly, "I just checked if you were injured."
He looked around, stood up, chiseled two holes in the inner wall of the cave, took out the rope from the bag and tied it to the holes.
He then used a rope to pass through everyone's clothes to make a simple curtain to separate the two sides.
Lin Hao moved closer to Shouju and saw that with the curtain blocking the way, he had already started to let himself go and took off his pants to dry.
There was a rustling sound behind him, followed by a faint scent of peony flowers and the fragrance of roasted oranges.
"We will take turns to rest next. We will sleep for about two hours and then start switching." Lin Hao said.
After assigning the order of night duty, Shouju and the director took the lead in taking duty, while also making sure the bonfire did not go out.
Cheng Cheng glanced at Lin Yun. He was soaking wet and couldn't sleep, so he let Lin Yun lie down and rest.
More than two hours later, Lin Hao yawned and woke up from his sleep.
He looked around and saw that Shouju and the director had already lay down to rest, and two photographers were fiddling with the campfire.
The two turned their heads and glanced at Lin Hao, then said softly, "Since you were too tired at night, we didn't wake you up. Why don't you sleep a little longer? The two of us can take care of the night."
Lin Hao shook his head and subconsciously looked back, and Cheng Cheng happened to poke his head out from behind the curtain.
She looked anxious and gently poked Lin Hao's back. "Sister Lin Yun seems to be in a bad condition!"
Lin Hao immediately stood up and walked behind the curtain, where he saw Lin Yun curled up beside the campfire, trembling all over.
He lifted Lin Yun up and let her lean on his arms. The clothes on Lin Yun's back were still wet because there was no fire.
He reached out and touched Lin Yun's forehead and felt a burning sensation. It turned out that she had caught a cold and had a fever.
Lin Yun opened her eyes drowsily, licked her dry lips, and felt a little dizzy.
She turned to look at Lin Hao, smiled innocently, and whispered, "Xiao Hao, water. Water..."
Lin Hao reached for the backpack not far away, wanting to take out the mineral water in the bag and hand it to Lin Yun.
"Found it!" Lin Yun raised her neck and kissed Lin Hao deeply on his lips.
