"Mr. Yang, if she can’t afford it, I can pay it for her," Melody Thorne smiled. "She’s not bound to Radiant Entertainment!"
"Melody," Kiki tightened her grip on the cup in her hand, "I know you’re doing this for my good, but I’ve realized in this lifetime, I won’t become famous. I’ve been forgotten before I even got famous. Since Radiant doesn’t mind me being an embarrassment, I’ll stay stubbornly at Radiant."
Yang Xufeng took a satisfying sip of his wine.
Knowing Kiki’s pride, Melody Thorne didn’t say much. "Just remember, come to me if you have any troubles. If anyone bullies you, come to me too."
"Okay." Kiki reached out to hold Melody Thorne’s hand.
Suddenly recalling something, she hesitated but decided to tell Melody Thorne, "The reason I got hit by a car at the hospital was that I overheard Hans Montrose having a conversation with someone. They mentioned something about medicine, but I couldn’t hear clearly from the distance."
