Chapter 107 Connery Fudge
Chapter 107 Connery Fudge
They came to a table where, under a sign that said "Security Check," sat a dirty-shaven wizard in peacock-blue robes.
When they approached, he raised his head, and before he even had time to put down the "Daily Prophet" in his hand, he hurriedly got up and bowed to Lucius: "Mr. Malfoy, are you and the gentleman beside you here?"
"I made an appointment with Minister Fudge." Lucius raised his head proudly. "Do you need to check our wands?"
"No need, no need, Mr. Malfoy is certainly trustworthy." The wizard nodded respectfully and said. "Eric hopes you have a great day."
Lucius raised his eyelids, moved his lips slightly, and replied in a very small voice, "Thank you, Eric."
After speaking, he decisively left the table and returned to the wizarding trend at the golden gate.
Before Hera left, she took a deep look at that Eric, pouted her lips, and followed Lucius quickly.
Although his attitude was extremely humble, Hera guessed that Lucius would never remember his name at all. Even if you ask Lucius his name now, he might frown and be unable to answer.
Through the golden gate, you come to a smaller hall, where there are at least twenty elevators, blocked by delicate golden grille doors.
Hera and Lucius walked into the crowd around an elevator, and the staff next to him greeted Lucius, who nodded and smiled, but not everyone treated Lucius so gently.
For example, right now there is a red-haired man spitting at Lucius.
Lucius stared back angrily, and Hera clearly saw that the hand holding the cane was bursting with veins. If it wasn't for the Ministry of Magic, if it wasn't for the staff of the Ministry of Magic around him, Hera believed that Lucius would pull out the wand hidden in the cane and cast a curse at that Weasley.
Naturally, Lucius would not be so stupid as to attack, but he would not allow others to ridicule him either. He stopped and taunted in his venomous and stern tone: "Hey, isn't this our 'famous' Mr. Weasley? I heard that my brother has been very busy with his official duties recently! So many raids."
"I assume they must be paying you overtime?"
Lucius lowered his head and flicked the most expensive custom-made men's cloak in the Fengya clothing store, and cast a contemptuous glance at Arthur Weasley's cloak.
Although Arthur's cloak was considered decent, it was obviously not comparable to Lucius's.
"Looks like not. My God, what's the use of being the scum of wizards if you don't even get a good pay?"
Arthur's face was quite red, and his fists were clenched tightly.
"We have very different ideas of what it means to be the scum of a wizard, Malfoy," he said.
"Of course." Lucius raised his eyebrows. His pale eyeballs rolled. He wanted to say something more, but Hera moved closer and whispered, "It's almost there, our purpose today is not to quarrel."
"Humph!"
Seemingly annoyed that Hera interrupted his emotional communication with the 'good brother', Lucius snorted coldly and ignored Arthur.
The Weasley family has always been Dumbledore's supporters. Since they must fall to Dumbledore's side, even though the current atmosphere is not very suitable, they still need to express proper affection.
With clanking and rattling sounds, an elevator landed in front of them, the golden fence door was gently opened, Lucius walked into the elevator quickly, Hera smiled at Arthur, and followed into the elevator.
The fence door slammed shut, the elevator slowly ascended, the chains rattled, and the indifferent woman's voice I had heard in the phone booth sounded again.
"Floor seven, the Department of Magical Sports and Sports, containing the headquarters of the British and Irish Quidditch League, the official Gobstone Club and the Burlesque Products Patent Office."
The elevator door opened, and a wizard with a broomstick in the elevator squeezed out with difficulty and disappeared in the corridor.
The door was closed, and the elevator continued to go up while shaking slightly. Hera idly looked at the ceiling with her shoulders on her shoulders. Lucius chatted softly with the people beside him, and chuckled from time to time.
The woman's voice announced:
"The sixth floor, the Department of Magical Transportation, includes the Floo Network Administration, the Broomstick Administration, the Portkey Office, and the Apparition Test Center."
The door opened again, and four or five wizards walked out, and at the same time, several paper airplanes whizzed into the elevator. They were a light purple in color and had the Ministry of Magic stamped on the side of the wing.
They are magic notes used to transmit information between departments of the Ministry of Magic, but they are obviously not convenient, and there is even a risk of loss.
But it was much better than an owl. Although Hera had never seen that scene, Hera could imagine it, maybe it was unbelievably dirty, right?
Maybe it's all over the desk.
The elevator door rattled and went up again, until the end - only Hera and Lucius were left in the elevator, and they sent the last wizard away on the third floor.
"The first floor, the office of the Minister of Magic and the logistics department."
They got out of the elevator and came to a corridor with doors on both sides. The floor was covered with thick carpets. All the offices had shiny wooden doors, and there was a small sign on the door with the name and position of the person in the room.
They passed a window through which bright sunlight streamed in, but Hera knew that these were enchanted windows, free to change the weather to whatever the wizard wished.
They turned a corner, passed through two heavy oak doors, and entered a slightly modest office with a wooden sign above it: Office of the Minister of Magic.
Lucius tapped on the door lightly with his cane, and a middle-aged male voice came from inside: "Please come in."
A row of filing cabinets were lined up along the wall in the office, and there was a large desk in the center. A figure with gray curly hair was crouching on the desk and reviewing documents. He raised his head when he heard footsteps, and the moment he saw Lucius, his face immediately changed into a philistine smile.
"Lucius, my good friend, you are here. I was wondering when I could see you just now." Fudge walked out from behind the desk quickly, and hugged Lucius tightly.
"I am also very happy to meet you. You are still working diligently as always, and I hope our arrival will not disturb you." Lucius looked a little embarrassed, after all, Fudge's figure is really a bit thick, but he still said polite words.
"Oh, how is that possible"
How can one be poor, how dare to enter the prosperous world, and how dare to mistake a beautiful woman with two sleeves.
